SuperSafe Archival Currency Holders For U.S. Currency

One of the best and most economical ways to store or display single pieces of currency! These are commonly referred to in the industry as currency holders, bill holders, currency selves or sometimes even called, bill guards. They are available in the following three popular sizes:

Small, for the fractional size notes of 1861-1865.

Medium, for the modern size notes which we use today, 1928 to Date.

Large, for the older U.S. notes that are sometimes called "horse blankets" by us "old time collectors" because of their larger size issued 1923 and prior.

Made of Prolar polyester, (The folks at duPont call their polyester Mylar.) These durable holders provide archival protection at an affordable price. Don't be fooled with phrases from PVC holder manufacturers use like, - free of chemical softeners and/or stearates. All holders made of PVC - even those that are softener free are not acceptable for long term storing of valuable collectibles.

We stock two different types of these SuperSafe currency holders. The standard holders have two 5 Mil layers bonded together. The Heavy Weight use a 5 Mil and 10 Mil layer bonded together to create a more ridged support. Both are manufactured to meet "archival quality" standards and when it comes to preservation of important papers, documents or currency the "archival quality" assures maximum protection and is the number one choice of museum and library curators.

The standard weight currency holders which are lower in price are generally used by dealers and collectors for their less expensive pieces of currency. The heavier gauge holders are reserved for their more expensive notes which gives them that added protection from handling.
