This spectacular Gem Proof adaptation of the extremely popular series 1901 U.S. Legal Tender note features a bison between the explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. Black Diamond, the bison who appears on this note was the model used on the reverse design of the Indian Head nickel series which were minted from 1913 to 1938.

This note weighs over a quarter-pound (4 Troy ounces) of .999 pure silver bullion.

In the Minting process each note is struck several times with extremely high pressure to guarantee that all of the fine details and the stunning Gem Proof mirrored background will be of the highest quality. This is the same process the U.S. Mint uses when striking Proof coins.
